What Singleness is Meant For

This series is based on the idea that our ideas about marriage will shape our attitudes towards it and expectations around it. If we do not understand what singleness it meant for, we will be confused and have misinformed expectations about marriage.

In scripture, singleness is the alternative to marriage. As we can understand more about fall by contrasting it with summer, we can understand more about marriage by contrasting it with singleness. As we begin to understand one, we understand the other. 

1. Singleness is meant to be a gift

•What does the gift of singleness mean?

-It means God is not withholding something from you

-It means you are not less than in your singleness

-It means God has something for you to do with the gift
