Metro FAQ: What to Expect
What is Metro?
Metro is a worship gathering for Young Adults that meets on Tuesday nights at 7:30 pm in the Worship Center at Houston’s First Baptist Church at 7401 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77024. If you're a young adult in the Houston area, this is the place for you!
What can I expect from a Tuesday night?
Show up, meet young adults from all across Houston, sing worship songs, and hear from the Word of God. Metro typically lasts from 7:30-9 pm with occasional Late Night events that are packed with fun and last til 10 pm. Every Tuesday night is unique and we hope to see you here at each one!
What are Metro Late Nights?
About every other month, we host a Late Night. Long story short, these are post-Metro events with food, games, and fun – and give you a chance to meet other young adults from our city. You’ll hear about these events on social media, so follow us to make sure you’re in the know!
I'm riding solo to Metro. What should I do?
We love that! We want any and every young adult to feel welcome and seen at Metro. If you’re coming alone, head to the Connect Table so we can meet you, sit with you in service, and connect you to other guests at Metro! Fill out the Connect Form so let us know that we’re expecting you, and come sit with us!
What should I wear?
Come as you are! Guests come in anything from their work clothes, scrubs, or athleisure. It doesn’t matter what you wear - what matters is that you’re here ready to meet people, worship, and study God’s Word!
How can I serve at Metro?
Tuesday nights are able to happen largely due to the faithfulness of our volunteer family! We open our volunteer applications once a semester, so make sure to keep an eye out for when they are announced. Follow us on social media to make sure you hear when we release applications - they are only open for a week at a time!
